Important message to all my DIVAS! Girls, we all dread having our period every month...I mean, none of us look forward to our menstraul cycle. I don't know about you all, but my periods last 7-10 days...and the cramps are the worst part!! My cycle is really heavy the first 3 days and one of my pet peeves is running out of pads or tampons...I've sent my boyfriend to the store several times because of that! Sometimes when I'm out with Savannah, I even forget to put them in my diaper bag! Ahhhh...I'm such a hot mess when it comes to that time of the month!

But let me introduce you to an amazing femcare product I found that will take all those worries away! It's called the DivaCup®...a reusable, bell-shaped silicone menstrual cup that is suitable for girls and women of all ages. They have 2 models so be sure to choose the one best for you, I'm using the DivaCup® Model 2 which is recommended for women age 30 and over or for women who have delivered vaginally or by caesarean section.

Before I had Savannah, I was only using pads and tampons. Thankfully, I didn't have my period for almost 20 months after I gave birth to her because I was exclusively breastfeeding. OMG...it was such a dream not having my period for that long! lol I was really dreading the day when my period would come and it finally hit me a few months ago. :( My cramps, bloating, and fatigue came back with a vengeance...it was super painful and stressed me out because I kept having leaks and accidents. My body needed to adjust to being on normal menstrual cycle and now I'm always on time, like clockwork.

That's why I'm so happy I discovered the DivaCup! It offers 12 hours of leak-free protection and is a much better option than pads or tampons. My favorite part about the DivaCup is that it's reusable and eco-friendly!! No waste means no strings, wrappers, plastic...none of that junk which will harm the environment. Ladies, it will also save you so much time + money! The average cost of menstrual care for the year is $150 and the DivaCup costs $39.99! As long as you clean it properly, the silicone cup should last you a whole year! I boil mine in a pot of water for 5-10 minutes before using it. :)

Seriously girls, I can't believe I didn't try this sooner! In fact, 91% of women who try the DivaCup won’t go back to traditional options!! Here are some of the many benefits:

  • Made from 100% healthcare grade silicone to assure comfort and durability.

  • No added chemicals, plastic, BPA, latex or dyes.

  • Ideal for all levels of activity: from sports to sleep.

  • Perfect for traveling!

I hope you all learned a lot from my post and encourage you to try the DivaCup out! I got mine at Walmart but you can find it all major retailers like Target, CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, and Whole Foods. Please make sure to read the User Guide before trying the cup and always consult with your healthcare provider if you have any questions regarding your gynecological health.

xo, Hailey
